Stock Optimiser - "Mill Order Optimisation Function"

Description - The Stock Optimiser Feature will calculate the optimum length of material to purchase as a special Extrusion Length.

This is calculated between the Minimum Extrusion Length Available, the Incremental Length an Extrusion can be purchased (eg 25mm or 2" increments) and the Maximum Extrusion Length Available.

To use the Stock Optimiser Function

1.        From the File menu, click Open and browse to an existing Cutting Project or create a New Cutting Project and populate the 'Cuts' Fields with Cutting Data.

2. Position the Mouse Over the Material Name and left hand mouse click. (Material will then be highlighted)        

3. From the Tools menu, choose Stock Optimiser

4. Enter the Minimum Extrusion Length Available

5. Specify the Increment your extrusion can be produced. eg 100mm

6. Enter the Maximum Extrusion Length Available

7. Click the 'Calculate Optimum Stock Length ' Button to commence the Stock Optimiser ANALYSYS

8. The Optimum Extrusion Length is then Calculated and Displayed with the actual % Yield achieved.

9. Click the 'OK' Button

10. Click the 'Yes' Button

11. The Extrusion Length is then added to the 'Stock' data field and the Quantity is also added

12. Then Click the Reports function to Optimise and display your Cutting Project
