Pre-Loaded Fractional Units Examples For Optimization

To 'Open' a pre-loaded "Fractional Inch Unit" example cutting file

1.      From the Tools menu, choose Options and then choose General.

2.      Click the Seperator character for using in CSV format files (input data files) tab and select the Seperator character as shown.

Optimumcut-1D reads and writes its input data in CSV format files (Comma Separated Value).This format can be read and written ( using "save as ..." ) from MS Excel and other spreadsheet programs .

3.      When you have typed in the aforementioned parameter Click the OK Button.

4.      From the Tools
menu, choose Units and then choose Fractional Inch.

6.      Optimumcut-1D automatically configures the Fractional Inch Units.

7.       You can check the configuration by selecting Tools, Options
and Units. You will see the following display.

8.       Click the OK Button when you have checked your configuration.

9.      From the Tools
menu, choose Options and then choose General.

10.      Place a Tick in the Cut angles detail box to activate the Display Of Cut Angles Detail. (If a tick already exists in the box please leave the tick in the box and Click the OK Button.

11.       If you had to place a tick in the box you will be prompted "To enable changes restart the program". Exit Optimumcut-1D & Re-start your program.

12.      From the
File menu, choose Open and then choose Browse.

Example Small Cutting File =
C:\Program File\Optimumcut\Optimumcut-1D\Example Files\Fractional-Inch\Small Project.csv

Example Large Cutting File =
C:\Program File\Optimumcut\Optimumcut-1D\Example Files\Fractional-Inch\Large Project.csv

13.      Upon Loading of an example Cutting File press the Optimize Button.

14.      Users can then use any of the Commands described in the Reports section of this help file
